Summary
Amends the:
Aviation Transport Security Act 2004
and
Civil Aviation Act 1988
to allow background checking of holders of security designated authorisations (particularly flight crew);
Aviation Transport Security Act 2004
to include contractors of Airservices Australia as aviation industry participants; and
Aviation Transport Security (Consequential Amendments and Transitional Provisions) Act 2004
to allow certain programs under the
Air Navigation Act 1920
to continue as programs under the
Aviation Transport Security Act 2004
. Also contains a regulation-making power and a transitional provision.
